“Being in a non-profit like Youth United Project with the opportunity to serve new immigrants was a wonderful and fulfilling experience that also benefits my extracurriculars list for university and helped me get into UCLA.”

“As the Executive of Recruitment at YUP, I developed key soft skills that helped me not only in my workplace, but also helped me get into the Richard Ivey Business School. Leading the recruitment effort and managing the interview process, I've honed my leadership abilities to be able to be successful in the business world.”
Karson Yue
Volunteer & Recruitment Executive, 2023-2024
“Joining YUP has been one of the best decisions I have made by far. Starting in 2022 as an English tutor, I quickly saw how simple acts of volunteer service catalyzed change in the lives of others. Seeing my students become interested in learning and positively engage in lessons made me realize just how valuable education is. YUP is an incredible organization that prioritizes quality education and I could not have been happier with my experience serving both as a tutor and an executive.”

Volunteer & Curriculum Director (2022-2026)
